ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY - VERBAL ABUSE OF OFFICIALS - POOR SPECTATOR BEHAVIOUR

 Please note that
THE FOLLOWING IS NOW IN EFFECT
because of recent and ongoing issues.

 PLEASE REMIND YOUR PARENTS THAT
both time keepers and on ice officials
ARE OFF LIMITS!  ANY ABUSE OF OFFICIALS AND
ANY ISSUES BETWEEN SPECTATORS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.

The time keepers in particular are most vulnerable in arenas like Neebing, Port Arthur, Delaney and Issues like game clocks not starting and buzzers not buzzing are often related to the equipment and NOT THE PERSON.  We have different issues at every rink.  Also, On ice officials often need to get through parents to get to their dressing rooms.  We ask every staff to assist in keeping these people safe in order to TRY TO RETAIN THEM.

This is especially important as we enter into the final regular season games and playoffs.

The following is now in effect.  Incidents will be recorded. Teams will be notified.

There is NO time in any arena when it is acceptable for anyone to approach and disrespect the Timekeepers or On Ice Game Officials.  This Rule is to be respected at all times and may result in the banning of that person and also may result in the player associated with that person to serve game suspensions.

This rule is also extended to issues between spectators in the stands.  Referees have been instructed to stop the game until the offending parties leave the arena.
This is a zero tolerance policy.

Our Players do hear and see poor behavior and we here at Lakehead Minor feel we want our players to learn respect and to not to blame others who are just trying to do their jobs or enjoy the game.

Poor behaviour is never acceptable.
